  1. how do i put ctf themes on my psp

    Comment by Jesus — December 9, 2008 @ 1:48 am

  2. You need to first install CXMB 3.2.1 plugin on your psp. Go to http://customizepsp.co.uk/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=444 to download this plugin. Then just put the ctf theme on your PSP/THEME folder like you would with PTF theme. Activate the theme like usual, like you would with PTF theme too.

You need to have custom firmware 3.9 or higher to get it work.

  3. what folder does the plugin go into

    Comment by Brett Grow — December 10, 2008 @ 1:47 am

  4. Grow, after you downloaded the plugin, read the README.txt file. Look for the “CXMB INSTALLATION”. It has complete guide on how to install the plugin and what folder should it go to.

  10. OK, Grow, just watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wM7T0pi1pLU

It shows you a COMPLETE GUIDE on how to install CXMB plugin on your psp. Just follow the steps shown on that video. :)

BTW, do you already have CUSTOM firmware on your psp? and what version?

  12. I have version 5.1 will it work?

    Comment by Brett Grow — December 12, 2008 @ 3:32 am

  13. sorry version 5.02

    Comment by Brett Grow — December 12, 2008 @ 3:34 am

  14. i dont think the CTF theme will work on 5.02 , as it didnt work on my 5.00 version psp . Also , ur PSP must be Custom Firmware to be able to use the CXMB plugin , which allows CTF themes to be used .

If u see the word “Version” in ur PSP’s System Information , ur PSP is NOT CUSTOM FIRMWARE

  19. So now i figure out that i need to make/buy a Pandora’s battery so i don’t think I’m going to go threw all of this trouble just to get a few CTF themes

    Comment by Brett Grow — December 14, 2008 @ 10:29 am

  20. Yeah, that’s why i said u need to have CUSTOM FIRMWARE. The official Sony’s firmware won’t allow u to do many things on your psp.

Just for a note, if u have custom firmware on your psp, not only that u can have CTF theme, u can do so much more; play homebrew games, play psp games on your pc, unzip files on your psp w/out going to your computer, and the list goes on as long as all the psp hackers out there continue to make all the wonderful homebrew apps for psp. :)

  22. its easy to make your own pandora battery yourself you take your battery open it with a box cutter (preferred) and cut around the edges of the battery carefully and once you open it you’ll see some brown stuff on one edge of it take pin carefully scrap it off carefull not to cut any of the little wires inside then on the bottom right of the battery CAREFULLY cut the little wire and tape it up with black electric tape it matches more and there you go! :D

    Comment by alvhin1903 — February 16, 2009 @ 7:58 am

  29. alvhin1903, you can check that by going to System Settings (follow instructions below);

    1. Turn on your psp.

    2. Go to the setting tab which should be on the left.

    3. Next, move down until you get to the system settings sub-tab.

    4. Hit X, Then move down to the system information sub-tab.

    5. It should then say: System Software: Version “Your Firmware”

    Comment by fuzakeruna — February 17, 2009 @ 1:20 pm
